The Return and Quick Sketches for 7-15-13

Hello everyone!

I want to apologize for my absents, things have been very crazy since I finished off school, I'm currently working 2 jobs so time to do stuff in my free time has been difficult.  But, I'm trying to change that by starting up my sketch blog again.

So lets jump right into it.

Some quick sketches of PC case designs I'm working on for a project.

Modular Computer Case

A quick perspective practice.  An idea I had for breaking computers up into smaller, more manageable parts.

We're Back! With Some Quick Sketches!

Hey everyone!  I'm back! I first want to apologize for the extensive delay in getting new work up, school has been keeping me very busy.  Also it does not help to have your entire computer decides one day, it doesn't feel like working anymore.  I have been working day in and day out on my final project for end of the semester, but I have built up a a lot of good sketches so there will be lots of work to show! So without further delay:

Some quick 7-10 minute sketches of a home cloud server I am building for myself.

D37 - Perspective Spheres Rendered

This is the one that I was not looking forward to the most, mostly because I'm not the best when it comes to rendering spheres, but in hind sight, I think this one came out pretty well.

Enjoy!

D36 - Perspective Pyramids Rendered

Another in one of these, I enjoy doing them a lot.  It allows me to practice almost every element of my design and drawing process.  I have noticed that I am getting quicker at doing them, not sure if that is effect the quality of them at all or not.

I will let you decide!

Enjoy!

And We're Back - D26 - Gray Marker Blocking

We're back!

I know it was a bit longer than I has stated in my last post, but things got crazy here.  Anyway...

I have been viewing a few peoples work and they use a technique where they block out the basic shape of an object with a gray marker.  So I decided to give it a shot.

D25 - Bike Light 2

Another traditional piece and another iteration of the bike light.  Again, i want to apologize for the poor quality pictures.  I didn't have a scanner handy.

Pen, marker, and paper

D24MU - Bike Light

Another traditional piece, this time a bike light, it can either go on your handle bars or on your helmet.
Pen, Maker, and Paper

D23MU - Sonic Fruit Scanner

Yep, it's as crazy as it sounds.  A device that analyzes fruit and produce through the use of sound.  It uses the same technology as an ultra sound...but for produce.

Also, this was the first of a few pieces that I did in a traditional medium.

I want to apologize for the crappy photos, I didn't have a scanner available at the time.

D22 - Concept Groud Speeder

Since I'm on break, I have a bit more time to do some sketching, so I worked on this on and off most of the day.  It went through a few revisions before i settled the on the final look.
I want to be able to get this quality of work but cut my time down to around 30-45 minutes.

Just gotta keep sketching!
